GUIDED TOURS ON FRIDAY MORNING

During friday morning, while some stay at the Fair, some others are invited to join a guided tour through Oaxaca´s great old houses and churches, be aware of announcements.

ARTS AND CRAFTS AND SOME MEZCAL

Mezcal, Oaxaca´s traditional drink and many other crafts made by great oaxaca´s artists would be shown at Fair´s lobby and you may buy a gift for left at home.

PAUL HARRIS KIDS AT FAIR OPENING

Paul Harris Primary School kids are going to be at the Official Inauguration Ceremony on Friday 27th at Patio de los Laureles in Hotel Misión de los Ángeles, 9am.

This Primary School was founded in Oaxaca many years ago by Oaxaca Rotary Club, one of three Oaxacan RC organisers of the Fair.

FIRST 2011 FAIR PROJECT SHARE RESULTS

Last 2011 Oaxaca Project Fair first MG accepted was made by Tuxtla Oriente, a very interesting breast protesis project, leaded by Carlos Farrera, Tuxtla´s Past-President, and they can tell you is easy to do it, they´ve just done it.

Feel free to ask, Carlos has some tricks to tell you about MGs.

Genaro Sevilla, Mexico City Ritary Club has a booth at the Fair and confirmed he is going to be at the Fair, let´s see what they have to show us!!

Puebla AC RC and Mauricio Brindis also... at the Fair

Puebla AC is a 75 year old Club, nest of few Governors in Distritcs 4180 and his current President Mauricio, as well as past governors from this Club will be with us at the Fair.

Hope they are showing some of their projects made through the years, or tha latest water project in Puebla, Peter Buholzer can tell you how to do it

LAUREN MARQUEZ-VISO, GRANT COORDINATOR VISITING THE FAIR

Our Grant Coordinator, Lauren Marquez-Viso, from One Rotary Center in Evanston is coming to the Fair and will be arriving just in time for Thrusday 26th night cocktail.

She´ll be having an special participation at the Fair, both, at the Showroom, giving a check up to every Matching Grant From you are bringing and also at the Saturday´s Seminar, explaining how we´ll have to do it for 2013 transition to Pilot Program.

JOHN TURNAGE IS ALSO COMING

We just heard about!!

It´s right, John Turnage is also coming to the Fair with Sonrisas Sin Fronteras Foundation, as Toño Bulas just told us by phone.

They are showing a double size booth with the whole equipment of two clinics working at the Fair, inviting some kids from Paul Harris Primary School in Oaxaca, a project done many years ago by Oaxaca Rotary Club.

Sonrisas Sin Fronteras has been working with their program for few years in south states of Puebla and Chiapas in Mexico mainly but also done some journeys to Central America, groing very fast.

Congratulations on this work!!

D6450 FROM ILLINOIS IS PROUDLY REPRESENTED AT THE FAIR

John Schwandke and wife, from District 6450 in Chicago, Illinois, had just noticed us their suscription to the Fair, such a great new.

They belong to Chicago Financial District Rotary Club and he´s in charge of International Projects Comitte, been also participating in the Boards of Directors, Distrcit Leadership Team and Membership Comittee.

SONRISAS SIN FRONTERAS SUCCESFULLY REPEATS AT THE FAIR

Another year has gone and Sonrisas Sin Fronteras do not stop working with their Dental program, trying to repeat it in different places and inviting other Clubs to dream with them.

They´ve also participate in Dallas 21 Zone Institute last november at this conference project fair sharing it with upcoming governors to get along with this Foundation.

Meet them at 3rd and 4th booth at the Fair, main entrance, no way to miss it.

TEHUACAN MANANTIALES ROTARY CLUB STARTS THEIR MG AT THE FAIR

Just a couple days after the Fair, on january 30th, Tehuacan Manantiales Rotary Club starts the latest Matching Grant, also shared with United States friends, a computing program in Narciso Mendoza school, helpíng hundreds of kids improving their Primary studies skills. Join this opening after the Fair and get along with this enthusiastic rotarians.

TLAYUDA, FASTEST OAXACAN SLOW FOOD

Something every one has to try is the best mexican kind of oaxacan pizza, the "tlayuda", a large tortilla (flat bread) covered with black fried beans and fresh cheese, skin slices of lettuce, small pieces of meet and different regional tomatoes and pepper sauces, the best you can get of a cold meal, let´s try it!!

BRING EASY GOING CLOTHES

Oaxaca itself it´s a very nice touring around city, prefered for walking tours and visiting every old houses patios and in-rooms areas. Better have  alook at the Camino Real Hotel, Santo Domigo church and convent and Museo de los Pintores.

Also reserve some time to go to different Archeological Sites as Montealban and Mitla, mixteca culture ancient places. Let your legs go crazy at their hundred steps pyramids.

MACEDONIO ALCALA??? SOUNDS GOOD!!

On friday 27th around 7.30 pm, Guelaguetza Rotary Club, 100% ladies Club, will sponsor a concert given by Oaxaca Orchesta at Macedonio Alcala Theater, main cultural area in Oaxaca City, known very well in Mexico because of it´s rich architectural fachade as well of magnificent interiors.
It´s a "must be" at the Fair, you better go and change your flight ticket just for this.

Puebla Mirador, D4180 Governor´s Rotary Club joins the Fair

Lei Huang, Puebla Mirador Rotary Club´s President will also show their social programs in booth 12 at the Project Showroom of the Fair.

Puebla Mirador is also District 4180´s current Governor, Jesús Alarcón Club, we are sure they´ll teach us how to do it.

ACAPULCO ROTARY CLUB AND GAVIH ALREADY AT THE FAIR

Acapulco Rotary Club and GAVIH, an association working with kids indirectly HIV infected were the first benefied from 2011 Oaxaca Project Fair edition with an MG established with Pensylvania District, and this year were the first also registered to the Fair to show their MG progress and their institution´s international achievements during their past ten years, including Red Ribbon Award, the highest recognition world wide. Congratulations on this efforts to Rosy and Marcia, hard working rotarians!!
